This week, Mercedes-Maybach confirmed the third collaboration with late fashion designer Virgil Abloh and his Off-White brand. The car is based on the 2023 Mercedes-Maybach S680 and dubbed the “Maybach by Virgil Abloh.” Unlike previous collaborations, which were one-off showpieces, the 2023 Mercedes-Maybach S680 By Virgil Abloh is a limited-edition package. According to Mercedes-Benz, only 150 examples of this car will be available, and a portion of these bespoke Maybach S680s is coming to the U.S.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 by Virgil Abloh features the standard twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 with a more than capable 621-hp and 664 lb.-ft of torque. However, the exterior is painted in a two-tone palette of Obsidian black and gold sand and matching gold wheels. This shade of gold paint is exclusive to the Maybach by Virgil Abloh. The black and gold theme continues inside with sand gold Nappa leather upholstery. The top of the doors and dashboard is painted in piano black leather and accents. The headliner is black, making the sand gold seats pop out visually when you open the car door. Standard interior equipment includes Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX infotainment interface.

Pricing has not been announced. However, for the presumed six-figure price tag, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 by Virgil Abloh comes with a bespoke car cover with the Off-White brand logo. In addition, buyers receive a 1/18 scale replica of the special-edition S680 and a carabiner hook.
