In 1953, Chevrolet unveiled a two-seater sports car with a stylish body made from plastic. That car would be named the Corvette and would go on to become an American icon on par with Coke-a-Cola and the McDonald’s Big Mac. The old sports car is turning 70, and GM is celebrating with a special edition 2023 Corvette C8. The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition is based on the current Stingray 3LT and is available in Z06 trim as well. Buyers will choose between Carbon Flash Metallic or White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat exterior colors. In addition, each 70th Anniversary Edition Corvette C8 will feature an Edge Red stripe and unique wheels with commemorative center caps. However, for a bit of exclusivity, there is an option to add Satin Gray or Satin Black stripes. Another special touch is a red engine cover which can be seen through the rear window.

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette C8 70th Anniversary Edition interior features two-tone leather upholstery in GT2 or Competition Sport bucket seats with microfiber suede inserts. Moreover, the upholstery is held together with red stitching and matching red seat belts. The steering wheel is also wrapped in suede and a 70th Anniversary Edition logo.

The first example of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition will be shown this weekend at Barrett Jackson. On January 29th, serial number 001 will be auctioned off by Corvette racing driver, Oliver Gavin. The auction proceeds will go towards Operation Homefront, an organization that supports military veterans and their families.
