Porsche’s popular-selling Macan SUV has been given a refresh for its entire lineup. The 2022 Porsche Macan is getting a power boost across its lineup and styling touch-ups. Details of an electric Porsche Macan have not been released as of this publication. However, we do know what the 2022 Porsche Macan GTS will have to offer. The 2022 Macan GTS powertrain gains 60-hp over the outgoing model. Its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 now produces 434-hp and 406 lb.-ft of torque to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.1-seconds. The 2022 GTS also has a higher top speed of 169 mph. These new stats mean the top-tier Macan Turbo will probably be flexing 500-hp, or close to it when it debuts.
The 2022 Porsche Macan rides on 21-inch gloss black RS Spyder wheels using adaptive air suspension with up to 15 percent more stiffness to improve handling. Performance options include the GTS Sport Package featuring the Sport Chrono Package with Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus, with carbon fiber interior trim and 18-way sports seats. New interior upgrades for the 2022 Porsche Macan lineup include touch-sensitive controls on the console similar to the Taycan EV and a 10.9-inch infotainment screen as standard. In addition, Macan buyers can opt for a GT Sport steering wheel adopted from the Porsche 911, and interior seating stitching is now offered in Papaya, Gentian Blue, and Chalk colors.
The most noticeable exterior styling change for the 2022 Porsche Macan is at the front. Its front-end daytime running lights have been repositioned with a redesigned front bumper. At the rear, the black diffuser is taller and runs the entire width of the backend. In addition, standard exterior equipment for all Porsche Macans includes Sport Design mirrors, and the base wheel size has been increased to 19-inches. Buyers will also have 14 color and seven wheel design options for the 2022 Porsche Macan. The entry-level Porsche Macans are set to arrive in the U.S. in early 2022. However, the GTS will take a little longer.
