Honda has unveiled details on the new 2022 NT1100 touring motorcycle. This new bike shares components with the Honda Africa Twin, like its 1100cc parallel-twin engine and its two-part TFT dash. However, the new NT1100 manages to be its own bike suitable for urban environments and hitting the open road. It offers a low-seat height with a five-way adjustable screen and wind deflectors for improved aero efficiency and rider comfort. Standard equipment on the 2022 NT1100 includes cruise control, slim panniers, and heated grips.
The 1100cc parallel-twin engine produces 101-hp and 77 lb.-ft of torque with a six-speed transmission. Honda claims this motorcycle can travel 250 miles on a full tank. In addition, the 2022 Honda NT1100 offers three ride modes (Tour, Urban, and Rain) and two options for riders to customize preferred settings. The TFT touchscreen measures 6.5-inches and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additional safety features include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and Wheelie Control. Although the NT1100 shares the same frame as the Africa Twin, the chassis is different. Honda NT1100 chassis is one inch shorter and sits on 17-inch wheels. As of fall 2021, the new Honda NT1100 will be sold in the European market. However, the chances of the 2022 Honda NT1100 motorcycle coming stateside is not out of the question, it is a matter of when.
