As spring 2021 dawns on the calendar, Honda has unveiled its line-up of CRF450R trail bikes for the 2022 model year. The 2022 Honda CRF450R is now available in six trim levels, each designed to deliver a premium dirt bike experience using a lighter twin-spar aluminum frame. At the top of the line-up is the 2022 Honda CRF450RWE which stands for Works Edition. The 2022 CRF450RWE offers the same standard features as the go-to CRF450R with some added bells and whistles.
Like the CRF450R, the 2022 Honda CRF450RWE uses a fuel-injected, 449cc single-cylinder uni-cam engine with updated ECU tuning for added performance. Riders use a hydraulic clutch to control the dirt bike’s power using a close-ratio five-speed gearbox. The new Honda CRF450RWE features Showa front and rear suspension with each wheel allowing for over 12-inches of suspension travel, and the bike provides 13.8-inches of ground clearance. Standard features include launch control and selectable drive modes. Premium equipment on the 2022 Honda CRF450RWE dirt bike includes a Hinson clutch basket and cover, LT-X rims, titanium nitride-coated forks, and a red cylinder head cover. Also included are twin air filters, an RK gold chain, and an exclusive Yoshimura exhaust system. Another Standard 2022 Honda CRF450R will be available starting May of this year, but if you want the new Honda CRF450RWE, you’ll have to wait until August 2021.
