Bentley has introduced the latest version of its Continental GT Speed and claims to be a land yacht that can handle like a jet ski. The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is now a grand touring luxury coupe capable of shifting its weight in the corners. Bentley claims this new Continental GT Speed is “the most capable, performance-focused Bentley ever.” The 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed is a heavy-weight at roughly 5,000-lbs. The big luxury coupe is light on its feet thanks to a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 640 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft of torque through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This caliper of power allows the Bentley Continental GT Speed to reach a top speed of 208 mph and sprint from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Bentley dove into the Continental GT Speed to improve its handling. These upgrades include a new set of ceramic brake rotors that save weight and feature calipers with ten pistons serving as the anchor to stop the speeding land yacht on a dime. New electronic rear-differential and four-wheel systems adapted from the Bentley Flying Spur allow the GT Speed to be agile in the turns. Styling remains subtle for 2022, with significant changes being a darker radiator grille, a new Speed badge, and 22-inch wheels. Interior options included diamond-quilted leather, duotone hide, and Alcantara. All this means the new 2022 Bentley GT Speed will be more expensive than the outgoing model, but its performance will justify the price.
