The recently debuted 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is the topless top-of-the-line GT Speed. It has the same performance and features as the hardtop variant. The convertible comes in the form of Bentley’s ‘Z-fold’ roof designed to reduce outside noise and can be deployed in 19 seconds. Customers can choose from seven color options, including a tweed pattern, for the convertible top. Parking lot gawkers and valets will be able to tell this is a Speed GT thanks to exterior badges and darkened front grille.
Enforcing the Speed name on this Bentley GT is a hand-built 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 650-horsepower and 664 lb.-ft of torque. This amount of firepower can launch the 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed convertible out of the gate from zero to 60 in 3.6 seconds and onward to a top speed of 208 mph. It uses an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to send power to its all-wheel-drive system. Performance upgrades include (optional) carbon-ceramic brakes, all-wheel steering, adaptive dampers, and an electronic rear differential.
Inside the 2021 Bentley GT Speed Convertible is an interior that speaks of fine-aged whiskey poured into a crystal glass – total class. The Alcantara wrapped interior features bespoke ‘Speed’ embroidered headrest, neck and armrest warmers, diamond quilting, and enough color options to make you second guess yourself on which combination you want more. Bentley calls this “the most driver-focused convertible of the Continental GT range,” and it’s easy to see why.
