The king of British luxury and performance cars has unveiled the all-new 2020 Aston Martin DBX. This new model has been one of the worst kept secrets in the automotive industry, as there had been rumblings about this luxury SUV for some time. Now, Aston Martin has finally made it official.
Tucked under the hood of the head-turning SUV is a 4.0L AMG V8 engine that produces 542 hp and 516 lb-ft. of torque, powering top seeps of up to 181 mph. If the engine sounds familiar that’s because it is the same one used by the company’s sports cars. Most notably, Aston Martin also uses the same engine for its DB11. The SUV also features a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain.
The Aston Martin DBX is very much in the same breed as the company’s other luxurious vehicles. Once you step inside an interior made of leather and Alcantara upholstery makes that evident. A 12.3-inch instrument cluster encompasses a 10.25-inch touchscreen that makes it possible to easily adjust the information displayed in front of you. Drivers can seamlessly access the DBX’s infotainment center through a center console equipped with an array of controls that do everything from switching between playlists to open the luxury SUV’s panoramic glass roof.
