With the bar already set so extraordinarily high, sports car aficionados were bound to take notice when Chevrolet announced the release of a Corvette that boasts the “fastest, most powerful, most advanced performance to date.” The company unveiled its new 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 in Dubai, which will hit the market in spring of 2018.
The fourth Corvette ZR1 model in four decades, the 2019 ZR1 was designed with a single purpose in mind — performance. Take, for example, the extensive use of carbon fiber in its aggressively styled chassis. Meticulously shaped for maximum aerodynamic benefit, the ZR1’s body protects both the car’s driver and its hand-assembled LT5 small block 6.2L supercharged V8 engine while adding precious little weight to the vehicle as a whole. Built for speed, this exceptional car delivers 755 hp and 715 ft-lbs of torque, with over 600 available ft-lbs of torque from 2200 rpm to redline.
