2018 Mercedes-AMG E63

Mercedes-AMG reveals the new generation E63, the fastest E-Class ever.

Mercedes-AMG introduces the next generation of the E63 and E63 S models ahead of the official unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.

The new model drops the outgoing model’s 5.5-liter V8 in favor of a 4.0-liter V8, churning out 563-hp and 553 ft-lb of torque in the E63, while the S variant produces 604-hp and 627 ft-lb, reaching 60 in 3.4 and 3.3 seconds respectively. Power is handled via a Nine-speed Speedshift MCT (Multi Clutch Technology) automatic and is paired to a standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Design wise, the new sports sedan looks more aggressive than the standard E-Class, with sportier bumpers and grills, where you can see the addition of vertical slats first seen on the AMG GT C Roadster. Inside, the interior design combines racing inspired aggression with avant-garde details. Sportier bucket seats promise to holder the driver and passenger in pace, while the thicker AMG steering wheel with alcantara inserts assure a confident grip.

The Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63 S will go on sale in March of next year in Europe, with US sales following in the summer.
