Many consider the 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT a “goat” of supercars. While not the first vehicle to carry the “super” classification, the car undoubtedly showed Bugatti’s reputation for high performance to a new generation. Only 85 GT-spec of the Bugatti EB110 were made, and RM Sotheby’s is selling one located in Phoenix, Arizona.

The 1994 Bugatti EB110’s name commemorates the 110th anniversary of Ettore Bugatti’s birthday. Initially, the EB110 was intended to be constructed using an aluminum chassis. However, they changed it in favor of sturdier carbon fiber. A substitution that became a standard in supercars moving forward. Moreover, the EB110 performance goals meant its quality control needed to be measured to the high standard of the aviation industry.

Its power derives from a 3.5-liter quad-turbocharged V12 mated to a six-speed manual transmission to propel an all-wheel drive system. While meek by today’s standards, the 1994 Bugatti EB110 produced 553 horsepower and took 4.4 seconds to reach 60 mph. However, it could reach a top speed of 212 mph.

According to RM Sotheby’s, this 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT, chassis 068, is the 51st of the 85 GT-spec made. It features Bugatti blue paintwork with a two-tone gray leather interior that the first owner specially ordered. It is also not the first time this car has been in the hands of RM Sotheby’s, as it was first auctioned in 2016.

This car has been passed through several hands over its nearly 30 years. As a result, it has collected almost 20,000 miles on its odometer. Moreover, its original engine, number 090, has been replaced by number 063, which is a correct GT-spec motor. In addition, the car features a revised rear fascia panel with a centrally placed Bugatti logo. Nevertheless, the 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT is a high-performing piece of automotive history and engineering. Hence, the asking price for this “used” Bugatti is $1.6 million.
