Offered without reserve and estimated between $6.5 million and $8.5 million, the 1954 Jaguar D-Type “OKV 2” Works Competition presents one of the most influential sports cars in history. Considered among the most raced Works D-Type Jaguar, it was featured in many campaigns between 1954 and 1958, piloted by racing legends Stirling Moss and Peter Walker.

In the late 1970s, the 1954 Jaguar D-Type “OKV 2” Works Competition car was restored by Lynx Engineering, followed by an acquisition by marque expert Terry Larson. This vital contribution to international automotive history is in impeccable condition, from the robust chassis to the wonderfully curved body and refined details.

A noted West Coast collector held the 1954 Jaguar D-Type “OKV 2” Works Competition for the previous decade. The car underwent thorough inspection and maintenance. For completists, the auction includes complete documentation, including period testing and paperwork from Le Mans, complemented by extensive archival racing imagery showcasing its performance.

One of the most versatile and aesthetically distinct sports cars of its time, the 1954 Jaguar D-Type “OKV 2” Works Competition has retained the ability to wow car lovers since it was first unleashed on the track. The auction will take place on March 8, 2025.
