The newly released Zenith Chronomaster Sport chronograph has significant roots in the brand’s historic archives. We find influences blended from several vintage Zenith chronograph models into this modern sports watch. The Chronomaster Sport takes its cues from the brand’s A277 from the 1960s with its black bezel and pump-style pushers, as well as from the overlapping subdials in three colors of the A385 and A386 from 1969. In addition, the integrated steel bracelet and the case design of the El Primero De Luca from the 1980s find a place in this new timepiece.

With its sleek black ceramic bezel, marked in increments of 1/10th of a second, the Zenith Chronomaster Sport has the new and improved El Primero 3600 caliber, showcased through a sapphire crystal case back. The window provides a view of the high-frequency column-wheel chronograph with a lateral clutch and an extended 60-hour power reserve. This next-gen El Primero can accurately track 1/10th-of-a-second increments from the 5 Hz escapement. The 41mm Zenith Chronomaster Sport comes in two references – a black or white dial, both featuring the signature El Primero tri-color chronograph registers in blue, anthracite, and light grey, just like the A386 from 1969. Both an integrated steel bracelet and a textured Cordura-effect rubber strap are available to complete this distinguished timepiece.
