Yamaha is rewriting the rules of home audio with the new True X Surround 90A, also known as the SR-X90A, a high-end Dolby Atmos soundbar system built to annihilate the competition. Packed with twelve up-firing speakers—yes, twelve—this four-box system brings an unprecedented level of immersion to home theater setups. While most competitors max out at four or five height speakers, Yamaha goes full throttle, delivering cinematic audio that mimics ceiling-mounted setups without the need for installation.

The SR-X90A includes a soundbar loaded with four large oval full-range drivers, three tweeters, and twelve up-firing drivers that project Atmos effects into the stratosphere of your living room. Yamaha’s proprietary Surround: AI tech, borrowed from its AV receiver line, dynamically adjusts audio processing for maximum realism based on what you’re watching.

It doesn’t stop there. A newly engineered subwoofer with a symmetrical flare port cuts port noise by 20dB, providing thumping lows without distortion. Even the satellite rear speakers double as standalone Bluetooth units—perfect for music in any room when not paired with the soundbar.

Connectivity is top-tier with Yamaha’s True X wireless tech, MusicCast multi-room support, and Apple AirPlay compatibility. From explosive action scenes to ambient sci-fi soundscapes, the True X Surround 90A is engineered to dominate. Launching in September 2025 for $3,500, it’s not just a soundbar—it’s a full-on sonic revolution for your home entertainment system.
