WESN has never been shy about exploring the intersection of heritage craftsmanship and modern EDC. Still, The Scrimshaw Henry Collection may be its most nostalgic release to date. Part of a limited run of just 1,000 units, this collection reimagines the centuries-old art of scrimshaw through a contemporary lens, created in collaboration with Birmingham-based P&Co. The result? A pocket knife that feels both timeless and personal—an heirloom you finish yourself.

Built on WESN’s classic Henry slipjoint platform, The Rancher features brass hardware paired with ethically sourced ox bone scales, each piece showcasing natural variation, ensuring no two knives are alike. The compact proportions—5.35 inches open, 3 inches closed—make it an ideal daily companion, while the 2.35-inch blade and 1.6-ounce weight maintain the Henry’s reputation for functional minimalism.

What transforms the knife from collectible to canvas is the included bespoke scrimshaw engraving kit. Complete with a wooden carving tool, ink, and step-by-step instructions, the kit empowers owners to etch their own design directly into the bone scales—whether a ranch brand, initials, or a personal symbol. It’s a rare opportunity to shape an object that feels genuinely yours from day one.

With four models in the series—The Rancher, The Wildcat, The Vessel, and The Blank Canvas—WESN is giving enthusiasts the chance to own a profoundly personal, hand-finished artifact. Once this collection sets sail, it won’t return. And for the storytelling-minded EDC crowd, that’s precisely the point. The collection launches on December 12 at 10 AM EST.
