Weber Workshops was founded because of a motivation to build products that are intelligently designed and meticulously crafted. The brand seeks to create “daily instruments that make the daily process easier and the quality better…” With the creation of Weber Workshops HG-2 hand coffee grinder the brand has done just that. A number of years ago, Weber brought its model HG-1 to market and it became the gold standard of hand grinding in the industry. Taking all the lessons learned over the years, Weber went back to the drawing board to redesign and re-engineer the original model and the HG-2 was born.
The HG-2 is built around an 83mm titanium PVD-coated conical burr grinder. The burrs used by Weber Workshops are sourced exclusively from Mazzer, a leading company for the manufacture of coffee grinders, grinder-dosers, and accessories. Weber applies their own unique secondary processes to partially season the burrs to make them suitable for hand grinding. Then, it is all brought together and the edge is sealed with a life-prolonging (and not to mention totally food safe) TiN coating. The Weber Workshops HG-2 comes in both ONYX and silver.
