Volvo Cars has unveiled the EX60, a new all‑electric midsize SUV that aims to rewrite the rules of range and refinement. The highlight is its class‑leading range: in P12 AWD form the EX60 can travel up to 810 km on a single charge and can add up to 340km in ten minutes with a 400kW fast charger. Such numbers make range anxiety feel like a relic.

Built on the company’s new SPA3 architecture with cell‑to‑body construction and next‑generation e‑motors, the EX60 also promises agile handling and improved energy efficiency. Three powertrain variants are offered: the P12 AWD Electric delivers the headline 810km range; the P10 AWD clocks in at 660 km; and the rear‑wheel‑drive P6 offers 620km. Volvo designed the EX60 to charge quickly and to be easy to order: customers can choose a pre‑configured car for quick delivery or customise their own build.

Beyond the drivetrain, the EX60’s design carries the brand’s Scandinavian ethos. A low nose, sloping roofline and tapered sides contribute to a drag coefficient of just 0.26, while a flat floor and long wheelbase provide generous rear legroom and cargo capacity. Inside, natural materials meet cutting‑edge technology: a 28‑speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system with headrest speakers and Apple Music with Dolby Atmos turns the cabin into a concert hall, and Volvo’s partnership with Google brings the new Gemini AI assistant for natural voice control. Safety is predictably paramount.

The EX60 uses an array of sensors and Volvo’s HuginCore system to build a precise understanding of its surroundings, while a multi‑adaptive safety belt and reinforced safety cage aim to exceed regulatory requirements. Orders for the EX60 are open now in Europe with deliveries of P6 and P10 variants beginning this summer and the P12 following shortly thereafter; US customers will have to wait until late spring. For those who still associate electric driving with sacrifice, the EX60 makes a strong case that going green can be both stylish and stress‑free.
