Verge Motorcycle unveiled the new TS California Edition Electric Motorcycle at the 2023 LA Auto Show. What better way to get eyes on your product than by being the only bike in a room full of cars and SUVs? The Verge TS California Edition Electric Motorcycle doesn’t need help, as its design can draw a crowd on its own.
The secret to Verge’s electric motorcycles is in the rear wheel. The hollow rear wheel is lined with ridges on the inner surface and anchored to the bike’s frame. The rear wheel is where the electric motor is located to free up space on the frame for other components, like the battery pack. This design approach of turning the body into a battery carrier by moving the motor to the rear wheel eliminates the need for more moving parts, thus streamlining the performance delivery process.
This limited production model is an homage to the California Dreamin’ lifestyle. Everything about it is meant to evoke thoughts of sea breeze scents and riding alongside a row of palm trees, finished in a vibrant shade of Poppy Orange with dual-tone top flaring.
The TS California Edition Electric Motorcycle features a perforated leather seat, Ohlins suspension, and a custom-branded human-machine interface (HMI). Based on the Verge TS, the California Edition packs 737 pound-feet of torque to push the bike from zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds. The claimed range is up to 217 miles and it can travel at a top speed of 124 mph. Only a limited number of Verge TS California Edition Motorcycles are available to order through Verge’s website.
