UGG’s softest material now comes wrapped in motorcycle armor. The UGG x Willy Chavarria collection reframes the California brand’s surf-rooted comfort through the designer’s memories of biker culture in the San Joaquin Valley.

Five blacked-out styles move from hotel slipper to full-height Guard Boot. The latter adds a molded toe cap, protective shin panel, and pull handles, giving the familiar sheepskin-lined formula the presence of riding equipment.

Mid-calf Biker and Relaxed boots use slouchy leather and chrome hardware, while the ankle-height Otzo clog pares the same language into a compact slip-on. A leather hotel slipper finished with Chavarria’s crest in red embroidery closes the range.

The collaboration’s tension is unusually clear: supple lining against protective surfaces, domestic comfort against road gear, and an American footwear staple filtered through Chavarria’s Chicano perspective. It also gives a designer known for exaggerated menswear proportions a material vocabulary that can carry equal visual weight. Within IMBOLDN’s broader view of independent menswear labels, the project shows how a collaboration can change a product’s character rather than merely place two logos together.
The complete UGG collaboration launches September 10 through UGG. Prices range from $190 for the leather hotel slipper to $800 for the Guard Boot.
