Fresh off its Baselworld 2017 showing, Tudor has revealed its latest concepts and innovations for watches in 2017. Tudor’s Heritage Black Bay line — and the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Chrono — are particularly worthy of the buzz they received.

Right off the bat, you will notice the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Chrono is closely related to the Rolex Daytona, an iconic watch and classic for Rolex fans. The Chrono’s design highlights Tudor’s turn toward a more sleek and streamlined design, opting for a 41mm design and fixed stainless steel tachymeter bezel.

The nod to classic Rolex design is readily apparent in the Chrono’s fluted screw-down pushers, which will please anyone who loves classic luxury watch design. Still, the new Chrono is not solely about delivering a wistful nod to beloved watch design.

The all-new dial design brilliantly and subtly shifts Tudor’s renowned “snowflake” aesthetic with a slimmed down hour hand that pairs more effortlessly with the chronograph design. The watch’s sporty feel is evident in the dial’s text, highlighting the watch’s 200 meter depth rating in iconic Rolex red.

Elegant and timeless design that evokes the past is one thing, but the internal specs are certainly forward thinking. The Chrono’s MT5813 automatic chronograph movement is outfitted with tech that will make chronograph enthusiasts thrilled. From the column wheel to the silicon hairspring or vertical clutch, this Chrono has it all, with a 28,800 bph frequency as the cherry on top.

If you need one final nudge to consider this watch, the MT5813 was designed specifically for the Chrono by the one and only Breitling. The end result of this luxury team up is a top of the line, luxury chronograph that is the perfect blend of the chronograph’s past, present and future.
