Limited editions can make a good design feel needlessly temporary. The Trafford Touring GMT Core brings the Austin brand’s compact traveler back as a Core model, combining four dial colorways with a Miyota 9075 automatic movement and an unconventional approach to displaying home time.

Its hardened 316L stainless-steel case measures 39mm across, 46mm lug to lug, and 12mm thick, keeping the proportions restrained for a mechanical GMT. Sapphire crystals protect the dial and display caseback, with an anti-reflective coating applied inside the front crystal.

Rather than placing midnight at the top of a conventional 24-hour scale, Trafford divides its AM/PM display into daylight and nighttime sections with midnight at six o’clock. The layout makes it easier to read whether the indicated home time falls during the day or night.

The Miyota 9075 supplies the feature that separates the watch from less expensive caller GMTs. Its local hour hand adjusts independently, allowing travelers to change time zones without disturbing the minutes or GMT hand. The 24-jewel movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve, and is regulated in-house by Trafford to within ±10 seconds per day. A screw-down crown and 10 ATM water resistance add practical durability.
Each watch arrives on a leather strap, maintaining a dressier profile than many true GMT watches. An optional hardened-steel bracelet adds quick-release end links, tool-free micro-adjustment, and $149 to the price.
Trafford Watch Co. is accepting preorders for $899, with shipping estimated for early October 2026.
