Forged carbon usually arrives on a watch as visual theater. The Nodus × Raven TrailTrekker Carbon gives the material a job, using it for both the dial and fixed 24-hour bezel while keeping the rest of the watch deliberately legible.

The collaboration joins Los Angeles-based Nodus with Kansas-based Raven Watches. Its 39.5mm case is machined from 316L stainless steel and finished in gray DLC, measuring 11.8mm thick and 46.6mm lug to lug. Forged carbon surfaces are infused with blue-glowing BGW9 lume, turning the irregular fibers into a functional night display rather than decoration. A box sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, and 200 meters of water resistance give the compact case genuine field credentials.

Inside is Miyota’s 9075 automatic flyer-GMT movement. The local hour hand adjusts independently, a more useful architecture for travel than a caller-style GMT, while Nodus regulates the movement to a stated ±8 seconds per day. A flat-link steel bracelet with the company’s NEM clasp is joined by a Fusion FKM rubber strap. The combination echoes the practical carbon-and-GMT logic seen in The James Brand × Timex Automatic GMT without borrowing its larger, more urban posture.

The TrailTrekker Carbon costs $1,075. Online orders open July 22, with shipping scheduled to begin July 31.
