The Touring Superleggera Aero 3 Is Almost Too Pretty To Be Real

Touring Superleggera has been modifying supercars since 1926. As the name states, these coach-built cars were lightweight versions of the factory model. This is the same company responsible for bringing vehicles like the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Coupe to life. Recently, Touring Superleggera unveiled its latest creation, the Aero 3, at the Salon Prive Concours d’Elegance. This Italian supercar wears a new body made out of carbon fiber. Retro-styling inspired by Alfa Romeo touring cars of the 1930s features an eye-catching vertical fin in the rear. The fin offers zero aerodynamic improvements, but who cares when it looks this good. The Touring Superleggera Aero 3 is a stunning piece of design that could fool you into thinking it was a digital rendering of someone’s dream car.

Underneath the Aero 3’s Stratosphere Red body is the heart and soul of a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. The F12’s naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine produces 720 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque matched with a seven-speed sequential automatic gearbox. The Berlinetta can hit zero to 60 in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. Touring Superleggera spent its time shaving 330 pounds off the standard F12 Berlinetta. Inside the Aero 3’s Foglizzo leather interior features polished and matte black aluminum accents with carbon fiber detail fittings. Touring Superleggera announced it would build 15 examples of the Aero 3. Each one will be uniquely tailored to the buyer’s configuration to create 15 one of a kind supercars.
