With close to 200 years of whiskey distillation experience, Macallan’s reputation has been built on an unending respect for the natural world’s contribution to the craft. The Macallan Harmony Collection has been launched to honor this relationship with nature through a limited annual release series that brings the best of the brand to whiskey aficionados.
Previous releases in the collection have celebrated a range of ingredients, including chocolate and coffee, with the latest addition focused on Phoenix honey orchid tea. Presenting an exquisite flavor profile, its inclusion in The Macallan Harmony Collection reflects the brand’s eclectic approach to distillation ingredients and methods.
This single-malt whiskey has been in both sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks to deliver a greater sense of body and depth. The inclusion of casks that have previously been used for bourbon adds further complexity, enhanced by lush dessert wine aromas and exotic fruit notes.
In addition to the various fruity and floral notes and flavors that blend throughout the new entry in The Macallan Harmony Collection, there are also hints of roasted richness and sweetness. The result is a synergy between The Macallan and JING Tea, at once a celebration of traditional tea culture and an homage to Macallan’s diverse approach to distillation.
Each bottle of The Macallan Harmony Collection’s fifth edition is presented in a gorgeously designed box, with subtle and refined greens that echo the inspiration of tea. It’s another welcome addition to a seasonal range that showcases Macallan’s bold approach to whisky.
