The Dalmore is once again raising the bar in luxury Scotch with the 2025 release of its Cask Curation Series III: The Red Wine Cask Edition. This year’s ultra-rare three-bottle set features 24-, 34-, and 43-year-old single malts, each finished in 2023 Château Mont Redon red wine casks from France’s famed Châteauneuf-du-Pape region. Limited to just 150 sets worldwide, with only 26 allocated to the U.S., this collector’s release comes with a staggering $44,450 price tag.
The Cask Curation Series began in 2023 with sherry cask finishes and continued in 2024 with port, establishing itself as one of the most exclusive annual whisky releases globally. For its third edition, The Dalmore collaborated with Château Mont Redon, the region’s largest and most iconic producer, harnessing its bold Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre-driven blends to craft single malts with extraordinary complexity.
Each expression highlights the evolving relationship between age and cask influence. The 24-year-old offers bright notes of honey, citrus, and berries. The 34-year-old leans into vanilla, forest fruits, and stone fruit richness. The 43-year-old delivers layers of dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruit, and antique leather. Every bottle is non-chill filtered, bottled at natural color, and presented in an Italian-crafted custom case.
By finishing each whisky in the same type of red wine cask, The Dalmore has created a unique study in aging, demonstrating that even the finest spirits can continue to evolve through daring innovation.
