Portland, Oregon-based Tanner Goods is a company that focuses on value, durability, and a timeless aesthetic reflected in the products it creates. Inspired by Ernest Hemmingway’s 1923 trip to Spain where he wrote part of his epic novel, The Sun Also Rises, Tanner has created the Holton Leather Pack, to accompany us on the many travels that will shape our lives. The Holton, the brand’s first all-leather backpack, is designed to withstand the rigors of the road while creating a beautiful patina over many years of use.
The Holton Pack is constructed from the same full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather used across all Tanner Goods products. Unlike bags that use sanded and finished leather to create a perfect face, the vegetable tanning process honors the unique character of each hide by leaving its surface unfinished. Measuring 19″ x 16″ x 4″, the Holton Pack maintains a sleek profile but boasts enough room to accommodate a 15-inch laptop in its secure zipped sleeve. In addition, the main compartment is lined in durable nylon ripstop and with its interior drawcord closure, this compartment’s capacity can be increased by 15%. Finished with a leather top flap and lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum hardware, the Tanner Goods Holton Leather Pack is a bag that will likely be handed down to generations to come.
