TAG Heuer has teamed up with Hodinkee once again to launch a masterpiece: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee. This collaboration follows the successful Carrera Skipper and Carrera Dato, honoring TAG Heuer’s rich history while pushing design boundaries. The Seafarer draws inspiration from the iconic Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer, produced by Heuer from the 1950s to the 1970s. This limited edition blends vintage charm with modern adventure-readiness, capturing the spirit of a sun-soaked, mid-century era in watchmaking.
Housed in a robust 42mm Carrera “Glassbox” case, the Seafarer features a domed sapphire crystal, providing the vintage profile of a plexiglass crystal with enhanced durability and clarity—essential for nautical endeavors. The black opaline dial is accented with sky and royal blue shades on the Regatta and Tide subdials, maintaining the original’s aesthetic. The bezel, integrated into the rehaut, matches the dial’s black opaline finish, giving it a sleek, modern look. The Seafarer logo is subtly positioned on the sub-register at 6 o’clock, and the watch’s design remains true to its heritage by omitting the date window.
With a black textured rubber strap, this watch is perfectly suited for maritime adventures. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee is limited to 968 pieces, celebrating the 1968 debut of the original Reference 2446C Seafarer. Priced at $7,950, 125 pieces will be available through the Hodinkee Shop, while the rest can be found at TAG Heuer boutiques and retailers worldwide.
