Swatch and Blancpain are back at it with the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Green Abyss, a $400 mechanical dive watch that marries serious underwater cred with bold Swatch style. Inspired by the original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms—the world’s first true diver’s watch—this drop brings vintage vibes, a green bioceramic case, and a whole lot of sea creature swagger to the wrist.

The 42.3mm case is crafted from Swatch’s signature Bioceramic, featuring a unidirectional bezel and crown, paired with a black dial that transitions into a rich green hue. Grade A vintage Super-LumiNova® lights up the hands, markers, and bezel scale for killer legibility, even in the dark depths. A clever water contact indicator sits at 6 o’clock—because yes, it’s still a diver at heart.

Inside is Swatch’s famed SISTEM51 mechanical movement, visible through a sapphire caseback printed with an ocean floor illustration and a vibrant Felimare picta nudibranch (a psychedelic sea slug, for the uninitiated). The 90-hour power reserve and antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring make this one tough little machine.
The two-piece NATO strap, crafted from recycled fishing nets, complements the ocean-friendly design. Paired with bioceramic hardware and featuring five poetic inscriptions on the caseback—such as “Protect What You Love” and “Immerse Yourself”—this watch is more than just gear. It’s a mission.
