Studio Underd0g has introduced the second-generation 02SERIES, updating its field-watch-inspired platform with a slimmer case, a longer-running movement, and four dial treatments that cover both full-lume playfulness and richer sunburst color. The British microbrand has built much of its following on watches that treat dial design as the main event, and the Gen2 02SERIES keeps that approach intact while making the watch more refined on the wrist.
The new lineup includes Pink Lem0nade, Steffany Blue, Red L0lly, and Nightshade. Pink Lem0nade and Steffany Blue return as the brighter, more playful options, using a sapphire sandwich dial construction over a Super-LumiNova-coated base for a glowing effect after dark. Red L0lly and Nightshade bring a different tone to the range, trading full-lume theatrics for tinted sapphire and sunray-brushed depth. Red L0lly leans into a vivid cherry-red finish, while Nightshade pairs a purple sunburst base with red dial accents.
The case has also been reworked. Gen2 measures 37.5 mm across, 11.5 mm thick, and 46 mm lug-to-lug, giving the watch compact proportions without feeling too small. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters, and the 18 mm lugs keep strap changes straightforward. Each model is delivered on leather or suede from The Strap Tailor, reinforcing the brand’s British assembly and finishing story.
Inside, Studio Underd0g has moved from the earlier SW210-1 to the Sellita SW200-2 M Power+ in a manually wound configuration. The upgrade increases power reserve from 42 hours to 63 hours, making the 02SERIES easier to leave off the wrist for a weekend without losing time.
The Studio Underd0g 02SERIES Gen2 is priced at $1,200, or £875 in the UK, with availability through the brand and select retail partners. It is not a limited edition, but given the brand’s track record with small-batch demand, the strongest appeal remains the combination of enthusiast-grade mechanics, compact sizing, and a dial design that does not treat field-watch tradition too seriously.
