German watchmaker Stowa has introduced the Fieldwatch Terra collection, a trio of purpose‑built timepieces that marry contemporary engineering with traditional tool‑watch cues. Each model – Desert, Forest and Soil – features a 38mm stainless steel case treated with scratch‑resistant grey PVD coating and measures a svelte 11.5mm thick.

A simple bezel frames a high‑contrast dial with generous Super‑LumiNova on the Arabic numerals, minute track and hands. A red outer scale marks 24‑hour time, while the absence of a date window keeps the layout clean and legible.

Inside, the reliable Sellita SW200 automatic movement ticks at 4 Hz, offering hacking seconds for precise setting and a 38‑hour power reserve. Stowa also engineered the watch to withstand 200 m of water pressure and magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m, traits usually reserved for dive watches.

The Desert version pairs a beige dial with sand‑coloured markers, the Forest version swaps to khaki green, and the Soil version opts for a deep brown; all are matched to elastic fabric straps that can be easily swapped thanks to quick‑release bars.

With its compact proportions and robust specifications, the Fieldwatch Terra collection will appeal to enthusiasts who appreciate understated field‑watch aesthetics. Priced just over one thousand dollars, these pieces deliver high legibility, strong magnetic protection and rugged good looks, reinforcing Stowa’s reputation for utilitarian German watchmaking.
