Stoicism has been a tactic that has informed militaries, heads of state, athletes, and entrepreneurs for centuries. To anyone, it represents a motto for thriving in the face of adversity. Some of history’s best moral, political, and military leaders, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca were models of stoicism. Yet they were also human, and by looking back on their works and teachings we can perhaps learn a lot about our own strengths. Our reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, informs who we are. At least that’s the idea of STOIK Books.

This collection of books combines some of stoicism’s most influential works boiled down into a three-volume set of English translations: Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations, Epictetus’s Discourses, and Seneca’s Letters And Essays. Each text has been reformatted to be read like your favorite novel, while the books themselves are exquisite, bound in a cloth Smyth sewn binding with a matching slipcase. The books are stamped with regal gold lettering and have a red bookmark for following along. Inside, pages have been detailed with unique illustrations to highlight the timelessness of the text itself. When organized together, the three books make a beautiful gift that would be a welcome part of any bibliophile’s collection.
