The Land Rover Defender first rolled off the production line in 1983, based off the original Land Rover series released in post-war 1948. The SUV was originally intended to be a private recreational vehicle, incorporating the rough and tumble features of an all terrain military or utility automobile into a more refined and comfortable package.
In the more than three decades that have followed the British car manufacturer has tinkered with trims, details, and accessories that have improved its off-road and handling abilities along with its interior indulgences. Now with the release of the custom Startech Land Rover Defender, the SUV continues to stretch to new heights.
Matching the robustness and durability of its exterior with the luxury and personalization of its interior, Startech’s vision is a symphony in car form. Land Rover fans will recognize a re-imagined outside with a custom front end, dirt flaps, aluminum running boards, a blacked out model inscription, thin blue belt line stripes around the car, and black Monostar D wheels to drive it across even the most complicated terrain.
Open the door to the Startech model and you’ll find the brand’s leather sport steering wheel, covered gearshift levers, and customized aluminum pedal pads. It’s completely dual-tone leather interior has the same blue tone edges of the exterior trim running through the armrest, upper dash, seats, and door panels. A hefty sound system and seating space for four extra passengers are housed in the back.
This may not be the first customized Defender, but Startech proves their design authority with its unique use of luxury materials and strong, sporty elements.
