The engineers and designers at Specialized Road Bikes are obsessed with aerodynamics and the physics of speed, constantly pushing themselves to lessen wind resistance, lighten frames, and trim seconds off the finishing times of the world’s finest competitive bicycles. After releasing the ViAS Di2 (a marvel of modern science that it presented as the fastest bike in the world), Specialized is back with something even faster: the S-Works Venge.
In order to optimize it for speed, Specialized took a whole new approach while conceiving the S-Works Venge. Beginning with a supercomputer-generated optimization algorithm, the company fine-tuned the aerodynamics of each component of S-Works Venge right down to the millimeter. In addition to offering considerable aerodynamic advancements over the ViAS Di2, the S-Works Venge weighs a full 460 grams less. Other split-second-shaving features of the S-Works Venge include super-fast Roval CLX 64 disc wheels and super-smooth Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes.
