Singer Porsche 964 DLS

Singer pairs up with Williams Advanced Engineering for a breathtaking reinterpretation of the Porsche classic.

Singer has steadily been churning out stunning reinterpretations of classic Porsches for the past eight years. Yet their recent partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering marks a watershed moment in their history with the Singer Porsche 964 DLS.

Created under the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) name with Singer, Williams, and other heavy hitters such as Michelin, Brembo, and BBS Motorsport, the Porsche incorporates lightweight and high-performance modifications.

One of the biggest additions to this model is the car’s new four-valve, four-camshaft naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat six engine operating 500hp. A new underbody and other surface aerodynamic enhancements enhanced by computational fluid dynamics were added by Williams with the assistance of Porsche Motorsport’s legendary Norbert Singer.

Elegant curves abound in the air outlets of the car’s taillights, rear diffuser, and other accompanying scoops. To aid in its lightweight features, the Porsche has been improved by some high-end materials such as titanium, magnesium, and carbon fiber that add power and strength without the heft. The overall impact is a mindbogglingly light vehicle at 2,180 pounds.

The DLS package also boasts an improved suspension with greater control and geometry, Custom Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, 18-inch BBS Motorsport forged-magnesium alloys, carbon Brembo brakes, EXE-TC dampers, and a special six-speed transmission constructed out of magnesium. With such thoughtful and luxurious additions, only 75 Singer Porsche 964 DLS will be made at the Singer facility at the Williams campus.
