If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, they say. Last year, Rolex came out with a new GMT-Master II BLRO “Pepsi” that ditched the Oyster bracelet for the Jubilee. It also had a slightly different movement with Rolex proprietary technology. This year, Rolex repeats the process with the GMT-Master II BLNR, commonly known as “Batman” in the watch community. It trades its Oyster bracelet for a Jubilee, and it sports the new 3285 movement.

The watch features a 40mm steel case, bi-directional bezel, blue GMT hand, 100 meters of water resistance, and a 70-hour power reserve, all of which are as per usual, more or less. Sure, everyone loves the Rolex Batman and some things are better left untouched, but we can’t help but wonder: is anybody working in the Rolex design department?
