Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Pirelli, the brand partnered with Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis to produce the limited edition Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli MT 45mm timepiece. The Excalibur Spider Pirelli MT is a spectacular combination of accuracy, ingenuity, and luxury. The case is a white mineral composite fiber (MCF), a material owned exclusively by Roger Dubuis, with a white MCF bezel with sapphire crystal and an anti-reflective coating.
Each element of the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli MT is inspired by the lightning pace of pit stops in racing. That is why Roger Dubuis designed a way for customers to experiment with the style of their watch. The unique Quick Release System (QRS) makes it possible to switch out the strap as easily as the wearer’s mood changes.
The Excalibur Spider Pirelli MT is the first piece by the artist crafted with tire rubber from winning vehicles. The signature of this piece is the skeleton flying tourbillon, which was meticulously crafted by highly skilled watchmakers. The flying tourbillon rotates once every 60 seconds, and like the rest of the watch, was inspired by the precision of motorsports. The power reverse indicator is built much like a fuel gauge as further homage to the popular sport. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli MT is limited to only 8 pieces and is priced at $185,000.
