Ringbrothers AMC Javelin AMX Defiant!

The Ringbrothers stun with an extremely reworked Javelin that incorporates a crazy array of custom flourishes.

The Ringbrothers AMC Javelin AMX Defiant! is the stuff that car fantasies are made of. Over the years the Wisconsin-based tuning shop Ringbrothers has consistently wowed audiences with their ridiculous and artistic automobile pieces. Yet the Defiant! is one for the record books.

The team dreamed up a heavily modified Javelin that is a leap forward from their previous Ford and Chevy based projects. Crack the hood of this model and you’ll find Chrysler’s 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that has been upgraded with a gigantic 4.5-liter Whipple supercharger for a 293 horsepower boost in output, totaling a monstrous 1,000hp.

The Defiant! rides in style atop a custom front subframe that was originally designed for a Camaro, which holds its modernized steering, sway bars, and RideTech suspension components. Its Chevy 12-bolt rear end is mounted on a four-link suspension that was designed by the Ringbrothers themselves. Massive 20-inch HRE wheels are wrapped in 285/30 tires in the front and 335/30 tires in the back.

Other standout modifications include a full Flowmaster exhaust, HRE wheels, six-piston Baer performance brakes, and a custom “Jalop Gold” paint job. A matte black decal accents the car’s front and Prestone, the coolant company that sponsored this collaboration, has provided cutouts for an even more bold look.

This meticulously produced one-off model is sure to have drivers running to commission a Javelin of their own.
