It’s no secret that Lamborghini has made some incredible vehicles during its 55 year history. As its in-house restoration division, Polo Storico have refurbished multiple classic Lamborghini models with the ultimate goal of preserving all 9,300 vehicle specimens from the car company’s first 40 years. Although most classic Lamborghinis deserve to be restored to its former glory, one very special vehicle has gone through the painstaking restoration process.
Already one of the rarest automobiles on earth, the Lamborghini Miura was in active production from 1966 to 1972, with only 763 examples being produced. Under the urging of Lamborghini test driver Bob Wallace, however, the Miura was refined even further resulting in the production of several Miura SVJ models and only a single Miura SVR model.
This newly restored Miura SVR one-off has resided for decades in Japan, where it achieved legendary status after being immortalized in the Japanese manga Circuit Wolf. This incredible car is once again gracing the world stage following a comprehensive 19-month restoration by Polo Storico, which brought it back in line with its original factory specifications.
