Named after the Mayan god of wind, storms, and fire, the Lamborghini Huracan has defined high performance driving since the automotive magazine Top Gear named it “The Supercar of the Year” upon its release in 2014. Following the launch of the Huracan Performante unveiled a year ago at the Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini has unleashed the drop-top version of the Performante.
Weighing 77 pounds less than the regular Huracan Spyder, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder delivers an additional 30 horsepower. This combination gives the car the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, giving it a 0 to 62 run in 3.1 seconds and enabling it to accelerate to 123 mph in less than 10 seconds.
Dropping the roof of the Huracan Performante Spyder improves the look as well. It incorporates new patented ALA (Active Lamborghini Aerodynamics) technology to shape its hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber chassis with sharp, clean, and finely-honed lines. Starting at $308,859 with Lamborghini taking orders this summer, this is one breathtakingly beautiful raging bull.
