Although the Lamborghini Miura may have stollen the show and the hearts of many sports car enthusiasts in the ‘60s, an era when automotive design was uninhibited and imaginative, the De Tomaso Mangusta was a car that held its own against the achingly beautiful Miura. Founded by Argentinian racing driver Alejandro de Tomaso and penned by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro, it was a beast thanks to the 5.0 Ford V8 that produced 221-hp with a top speed of 155mph.

Produced from 1967 to 1971, only 401 examples were ever produced with only about 250 remaining to this day, making this truly a lust-worthy vehicle for many collectors. This particular 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta, chassis 8MA858, only has 2,900 miles on the clock, making it almost brand new considering that its a 47 year old car. Available for a relatively reasonable $375,000, this example will make a grand addition to any classic car collection.
