Leave it to Porsche to create an SUV that both looks and drives like a sports car. Introduced in 2003, the Cayenne Turbo was the first SUV vehicle to feature racing aerodynamics, high-performance handling, and design elements such as an adaptive roof spoiler. The newly released Porsche Cayenne Coupe cranks the sportiness even further with a roof edge that is roughly 20 millimeters lower than the latest Cayenne Turbo as well as redesigned rear doors and fenders that add 18 millimeters to the Turbo’s already broad shoulders. The Cayenne Coupe’s front windscreen and A-pillar are also shallower than in the Turbo’s, adding to an incredibly low overall profile and an extremely muscular aesthetic flair.
Of course, the Cayenne Coupe’s performance is no slouch, either. Its standard 335-hp 3.0-liter V6 can rocket this vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The Cayenne Coupe is also available in a Turbo version with a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 that cuts 2 seconds off its “0 to 60” time and propels it to a top speed of 178 mph.
