Porsche’s 911 lineup has gained a new member with the Carrera T. This new variant is designed as a lightweight touring model placed between the 911 Carrera and Carrera S. It strips down the weight and boosts the power to create a 911 that emphasizes fun instead of breaking lap times.
The new Porsche 911 Carrera T ditches the rear seat and reduces its sound insulation to save weight. In addition, the car features thinner glass and a smaller battery. As a result, the Carrera T sheds 100 pounds off its curb weight compared to a standard 911 Carrera. Moreover, the Carrera T comes standard with PASM Sport Suspension, which lowers the car’s height by 0.4-inches. Other standard performance options include the Sport Chrono Package, a sport exhaust system, and a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring.
The Carrera T rolls on a set of Titanium Gray Carrera S wheels. For the interior, Porsche keeps it simple with a GT Sport steering wheel, four-way Sport Seats Plus, and dark gray accents matched with matte black and gloss trim. In addition, buyers can opt for the rear seat to be put back at no extra charge. An interior package offers Slate Gray or Lizard Green seat belts and contrasting stitching. The new Porsche 911 Carrera T arrives in the spring of 2023.
