Omega and Swatch continue their playful exploration of horology with the latest addition to the MoonSwatch universe: the Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold Corn Moon edition. Following August’s Sturgeon Moon release, which featured a net-like pattern on the gold moon disc, the September iteration arrives with a cheeky popcorn-box motif in honor of the Corn Moon, keeping the series as unpredictable as it is collectible.

The design, however, holds onto the key details that fans have come to love. Snoopy and Woodstock return to the dial, cementing their role as mascots of this NASA-inspired collaboration. The blue case and strap echo the aesthetics of last month’s edition, while the new disc detail is enough to keep collectors and enthusiasts eager to add another piece to their growing MoonSwatch lineup.
What makes the Moonshine Gold editions so intriguing is not only the design but also their scarcity. Each release is available for just one day—this time on Monday, September 8th—at select Swatch boutiques worldwide. In August, the limited availability led to snaking queues and sold-out stock within hours, proving the enduring demand for these whimsical spins on Omega’s legendary Speedmaster heritage.
Priced at $450, the Mission to Earthphase Corn Moon strikes a balance between accessibility and collectability, a hallmark of the MoonSwatch phenomenon since its debut. Swatch’s ability to weave in cultural references—from lunar cycles to Snoopy’s NASA legacy—keeps the series relevant month after month.
The question now is whether this is becoming a monthly tradition. In 2023, Swatch introduced a new Moonshine Gold edition every month following the initial gold-hand launch. If the brand repeats that rhythm, collectors may have even more opportunities to chase unique, limited-run variations. Until then, the Corn Moon edition is a golden chance for those who missed August’s frenzy.
