In February of next year, the world’s attention will turn to Beijing, China, the host for the 2022 Winter Olympics. The Beijing Games will mark Omega’s 30th year in the role of Official Timekeeper for the Games and, as a tribute to next year’s Olympics, the Omega Seamaster “Beijing 2022” will be released this April. This exclusive Special Edition timepiece from the Seamaster Diver 300M collection presents with several unique Olympic-related details. There are five singular minute-markers at 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12H with each created in the five colors of the symbolic Olympic Rings. The polished case back is also stamped with the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 emblem.
The Seamaster “Beijing 2022” Special Edition features a 42 mm case crafted from stainless steel which includes a unique grade 5 titanium bezel ring with a 60-minute diving scale in positive relief. On the sun-brushed blue ceramic dial, owners will find laser-engraved waves along with rhodium-plated indexes and Super-LumiNova hands. This Swiss-made timepiece utilizes the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, which happens to be the industry’s highest standard for performance, magnetic resistance, and precision. Featuring a screw-in crown, unidirectional rotating bezel, and helium escape valve, the Seamaster “Beijing 2022” is water-resistant to 1,000 feet. Delivered in a special presentation box, the timepiece is set on a polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet including OMEGA’s patented extendable fold-over rack-and-pusher with an extra diver extension.
