Since the Vietnam War, Ollech and Wajs has supplied the US military with some of its most reliable timepieces. The Ollech and Wajs OW P-104 draws its inspiration from the Air Force’s F-104 Starfighter. Its twelve-hour bezel is designed to encompass its 39.5mm stainless steel case with an aviation inspired slide rule that can actually determine speed, distance, and range like a cockpit’s control panel. Its black dial reinforces that ambiance by being accentuated by sharp orange hour markers at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. That distinct design is echoed by its checkered minute hand.
The ETA 2824-2 automatic movement is built with a customized rotor adjusted in house at Ollech and Wajs’s Zurich-based factory. The Swiss made watch is decorated with an engraved back panel that displays its Helvetic heritage. Equipped with a leather or nylon strap, the OW P-104 strikes a chord with its bold black design and robust mechanical movement.
