Jordan Peele’s ‘NOPE’ Final Trailer

The trailer finds the town’s locals in the midst of some sort of encounter with aliens who play pranks on humans.

Universal Pictures has just dropped the final trailer for Jordan Peele’s NOPE, which will arrive in theaters on July 22nd. The trailer offers lots of new footage and more story details since the first trailer was released in February. The three-minute-long trailer reveals the reason why everyone is terrified of the sky and the eerie clouds that always seem to be looming over their land. NOPE is set in an isolated California desert town and centers on James and Jill Haywood (played by Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya), owners of a Hollywood horse ranch as they and their neighbors find themselves at the center of an extraterrestrial event.

The trailer gives us a taste of the UFOs tormenting and abducting citizens and tourists of the town, as well as the attempts by the Haywoods to catch the entities on video and turn their ranch into a destination for people looking to see some real, live aliens. “This may be an opportunity. I’m talking rich and famous for life,” Palmer’s character says as they shop for surveillance videos. “Ain’t nobody gonna get what we’re gonna get. Undeniable proof of aliens on camera. The Oprah shot.”

NOPE, written and directed by Peele, marks the filmmaker’s third feature film, following his hits Get Out and Us. Peele first revealed NOPE with an ominous movie poster on July 22, 2021, exactly one year before the film’s release. In addition to his previous two horror classics, Peele also co-wrote the Candyman reboot and served as producer on Lovecraft Country, The Twilight Zone reboot, and the time-travel thriller Antebellum.
