German watchmaker NOMOS has just released the slick Autobahn Director’s Cut Limited Edition A7, a timepiece that derives its name from the A3, one of Germany’s major autobahns. With this watch, NOMOS is celebrating 175 years of watchmaking heritage that has taken place in its Glashütte facility, located south of Berlin. NOMOS partnered with designer Werner Aisslinger to produce the Director’s Cut Limited Edition A3 with its eye-catching blue-yellow dial.

With the dark blue of the dial and the vibrant yellow luminous arc running from 8 to 4 o’clock that is composed of Super-LumiNova-coated bars with blue luminescence, the watch is highly legible in low light. Evoking the idea of movement and linking to the automotive world, there is an elongated date window at 6 o’clock displaying three days at once – yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The stainless steel 41mm case guarantees water resistance up to 100 meters, while the transparent sapphire crystal caseback displays the in-house self-winding Caliber DUW 6101 that beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers up to 42 hours of power reserve. With only 175 pieces available, the NOMOS Limited Edition A7 is delivered with a new “Director’s Cut” steel bracelet, inspired by the typical racing straps from the past.

For another unique watch, check out the recently released Unimatic x Grimoldi Milano Modello Uno U1-GM.
