While Nike certainly brands itself as a high-performance shoe geared toward all-star athletes, a new collaboration is designed for everyday people. The new NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe, or GPS, was designed for the average person who works, plays, and interacts with people on a daily basis. The GPS was created to remind people to build a strong connection with the broader world, encouraging people to take pride in their everyday actions.
Celebrating a 10-year partnership between Tom Sachs and Nike, this shoe comes with the same high-performance materials people have come to know and expect from Nike. The NikeCraft GPS has a very distinct shape with an upturned toe. The shoe is built with a three-piece molded sole, adding extra durability and strength to the design. Other features include signature straps and a microfiber collar, all made with a breathable and comfortable knit. The shoe is designed to be tight enough to fend off some raindrops but still comfortable and breathable for everyday wear. The NikeCraft GPS sneaker is set to be released on June 10, 2022, from nikecraft.com. The shoe will come in several color combinations, but initially, the launch version of the NikeCraft GPS will be available with a muted white upper with blue straps and gum rubber.
