An experienced journalist and publisher Javier Errea recently partnered with the international “art, architecture, design, photography and typography” publishing house Gestalten to take an extensive look at the graphic design qualities of the world’s greatest newspapers. The result is Newspaper Design, a 288-page, hardcover, full color, stitch-bound book that proves just how important newspaper design (and newspapers in general) continue to be in our modern society.
In a world dominated by digital information, every aspect of traditional journalism (including design layout and other visual elements) has been forced to evolve. The most widely read and respected newspapers in the world continue to innovate and connect deeply with the public. Newspaper Design features plenty of outstanding examples from venerable publishing giants such as the New York Times and Libération alongside the unique insights of experts in the field of journalism design.
