Motorola’s newest smartwatch is less interested in replacing a phone than in making it easier to leave one behind. The moto watch ultra is the first Moto watch with LTE, pairing standalone calls and messaging with Polar fitness algorithms and dual-band GPS.

The 46mm stainless-steel case surrounds a 1.5-inch OLED rated at up to 2,700 nits. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, while IP68 and 5ATM ratings cover rain, workouts, and swimming. Wear OS provides Google Maps, Wallet, Messages, Gemini, and third-party apps, and Snapdragon’s W5+ Gen 1 platform handles the computing. Standard 22mm straps keep replacement options open beyond Motorola’s silicone and leather bands.

Polar supplies the more distinctive layer. Nightly Recharge combines sleep and autonomic recovery data, Sleep Plus Stages scores sleep architecture, and Energy Sources estimates how workouts draw on fat, carbohydrates, and protein.

Running Coach adds guided sessions directly on the wrist. Battery life is rated at up to two days with the always-on display disabled; a 15-minute charge can provide up to 24 hours. It gives the Wear OS watch a more training-oriented identity without becoming a dedicated sports computer.

The moto watch ultra starts at €429 and will roll out to North America and other regions in the coming weeks. U.S. pricing is pending.
